National Park/Blackwoods reservations problem

Does anyone know the scoop on what the ';technical problem'; is with the National Park reservation system? Blackwoods has been down for over a week, and now the whole NP camping system is down. When I inquired of a supervisor at the call center, the wouldn%26#39;t provide anything other than ';a technical problem'; and we they will not give any estimates of when it will be back. As a computer tech, if I had a system down for over a week, I would be out of a job...

National Park/Blackwoods reservations problem

My interpretation of the message on the website is that the problem is not with Acadia N.P. but rather with the nationwide reservation service.

The ANP website indicates that one can make reservations by phone at:

877-444-6777

If that doesn%26#39;t work, try 207-288-3338, which is the local number for the ANP switchboard.

My guess is that the good people at ANP aren%26#39;t any happier than are you about this.

National Park/Blackwoods reservations problem

I am aware that it now affects all National Parks (it started last week as just a problem with Blackwoods). I tried calling, but whatever the problem is, they cannot do phone reservations at this time either. Poor customer service for it be down so long. Does anyone have an inside scoop as to when reservations may again be available?
