Continuing the saga of the winter that will not go away:
First off, we are advised to expect another four inches or so by tomorrow morning.
On the scheduled opening (Sunday, 15 April) only the section from Paradise HIll to Otter Cliffs Road will be opened. This is the section from the main (Hulls Cove) entrance and visitor center to the Otter Cliffs road, which leads back to Rte. 3. The Hulls Cove visitor center will open tomorrow, 13 Friday (talk about an omen).
The article in today%26#39;s newspaper did not mention the road to Cadillac Summit, but I rather doubt that it will be open this weekend, given tonight%26#39;s additional accumulation.
All of the trail closings mentioned in earlier posts remain in force.

The opening of the Park Loop Road---update
Thanks for the info...I must say that I am quite surprised that they are still opening a portion of the park loop road with snow still on the ground. However, I did hear them plowing the park road yesterday.
It was a welcome surprise to wake up this morning and only see about an inch of wet slushy snow on the ground and not the estimated 4 inches we were expected to get. Unfortunately, more snow in the forecast on and off this weekend...
