Ogunquit, ME

I would like an outdoor wedding in Ogunquit, ME, with an ocean view. Either the beach or marginal way. Any suggestions on a location? Does anyone allow for lawnchairs to be set up for the ceremony in either location?

Ogunquit, ME

I believe I%26#39;ve seen a wedding at the Beachmere. Give them a call.

One of your best resources for planning a Maine wedding is www.theknot.com Go to the ';talk'; page and find the local Maine message board. After you create a log-in name I believe you have to wait 3 days before you can post, but you will be able to read posts during that 72 hour time period. The women are extremely helpful and can give you many great recommendations for ceremony/reception sites and other wedding vendors. Good luck!

Thank you I will check it out!

The Beachmere Inn is right on the ocean and the Marginal Way. We have seen several wedding ceramonies and the setting is just breath taking. Check them out.......

Yes, I called Beachmere...they have a guest limit of 80 people. I am trying to keep my list low, but that is too low for our big family. I also tried Terrace by the sea. I am not sure what their limit is so we will see. I am going to check out Hartwell INN. Reading the reviews on tripadvisor....Im a little nervous. Any other suggestions?

The Colony or Nonantum in Kennebunkport both are ocean view/ marsh view - - and hold weddings all summer.

Have you tried Anchorage By the Sea? They are right on Marginal Way. If not the Cliff House on Shore Rd. might be an option if you really want an ocean view. The do weddings there on the cliffs.

My niece had her wedding receiption at the Cliff House and it was beautiful - definately a nice place for a wedding.

Be aware that the Cliff House can book two weddings on the same day, and that might make you feel like you are getting married at a ';wedding factory.'; I attended a wedding there several years ago and both weddings started at about the same time and guests showed up confused about where they were supposed to go.

The larger wedding site there doesn%26#39;t not have a water view.
