We will be there Fathers day weekend. What are some ';must eat at resturants'; in Bar Harbour. We a 2 kids--older

Check the overview section to the left of the page. There are a couple of pieces contained there on Bar Harbor restaurants. Then look up the user reviews fo those restaurants here on Trip Advisor. I would not leave Bar Harbor without the lobster crepes at Maggie%26#39;s. If your palet is up for some interesting vegetarian cuisine, try Eden. Mache Bistro has been good but I understand there is a new chef and haven%26#39;t heard any reports as of yet. If you are not staying at a B%26amp;B, try Jeannie%26#39;s for breakfast. Jordan%26#39;s restaurant is well known for its blueberry pancakes and muffins. And stop by the Jordan Pond House (different from Jordan%26#39;s) for some lemonade and popovers out on the lawn.
Check out these threads from our last trip.

I followed all these links and learned a lot. Could you put out the link to the hiking you did? I can%26#39;t find that.
Michiganmaine---
Until paflyfisher gets back to you, click the Overview line at the top of this page, then under ';things to do'; there are several links to hikes---favorite hikes, easy hikes, etc.
Given the mix of ages (and proably interests) of your group, two that I would recommend are Wonderland and Ship Harbor, both on the southern end of MDI.
Jesup Path/Stratheden is another of my favorites, but it might be a bit ';buggy'; for a while.
Another thought, Michiganmaine---go to the Acadia National Park forum---much of the discussion of favorite hikes has taken place there.
Thank you sir. As you can tell I%26#39;m reading every post and gathering as much info as possible. We are definately planning on the Wonderland Hike, Bar Island, Shore path, picnic at Seawall and maybe hike; along with a load of other tips you all have given me. I like to read the accounts of vacations and see what people think of the places, as well as hearing from the local experts like you. i have been fine tuning our plans and today added Maggie%26#39;s after hearing about those crepes!!
I will check out the links you recommended.
Thanks again!
Elise
Glad you found the links helpful. I left out the hiking links because this is a restaurant thread but here goes.

We just returned yesterday (monday June 4) from a wonderful long weekend in Bar Harbor and I have to say that you simply MUST have breakfast (and casual dinner) at Cafe This Way -- best breakfast I%26#39;ve ever had. Try ';The Ann'; omelet and add fresh spinach to it -- I think they pick it fresh along with the basil (tasted that way anyway) - unreal!! Yum!! Great service too.
Also, now on my list of ';Top 5 Dining Experiences I%26#39;ve Ever Had'; -- Fiddler%26#39;s Creek in Southwest Harbor. We stumbled upon it and they accomodated us but make a reservation just in case--its worth it. The food in out of this world, the wait staff is the best I%26#39;ve ever experienced -- friendly, intelligent, professional, engaging, delightful. This restaurant is a MUST.
Fiddler%26#39;s Creek. Good to know. I was just asking for SW Harbor recomendations!
The name is Fiddler%26#39;s Green and I%26#39;m quite sure it isn%26#39;t open for lunch. Just dinner.
I was wrong. We drove past Fiddler%26#39;s Green last night and it is indeed open for lunch. The big sign outside says so.
