Local Produce?

Will be visiting Bailey Island the last week in June and was curious about places to purchase Local Produce..farmers markets , farm stands etc...also wondering if there was anything interesting or special that I should look for.

I%26#39;m so very excited to cook up there!!! Can you buy seafood from fisherman right off the boat?

I%26#39;m not sure if there is a farmer%26#39;s market down in Bailey Island or Orrs Island, but there is a regular farmers market in Brunswick. See http://www.brunswickfarmersmarket.com/

If you are here on Saturday, try the Farmers Market at Crystal Spring Farm, also in Brunswick. See http://www.crystalspringcsa.com/

If you don%26#39;t want to come all the way into Brunswick, try ';The Vegetable Corner'; on the Harpswell Road. Take 24 north out of Bailey Island, turn right on Mountain Road (the cross road which connects Route 24 to Route 123). You%26#39;ll find The Vegetable Corner at the intersection of Mountain Road and Route 123.

There might be a roadside farmer who brings produce closer to you, this is just what I know about living in Brunswick.
