Hello All,
After checking out Crash%26#39;s photos and with so many positive responses about them, I thought it might be a good idea to let anyone interested know about the Maine Photography Show.
As stated in my response to Crash, it is a state-wide juried show currently running and is sponsored, produced, and hosted by the Boothbay Region Art Foundation (a 501 3c) non-profit organization.
This year%26#39;s show is being held at the Boothbay Railway Village Musuem on route 27 in Boothbay and runs through April 29th. The hours are Thursdays and Fridays, 12 noon to 6pm and Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 6pm. Admission is free.
Show judge is Susan Danly, Curator of Photography, Graphics, and Contemporary Art at the Portland Museum of Art.
Come and see the show if you%26#39;re in the area. I guaranty you%26#39;ll love it!

The Maine Photography Show
Hi All Again
Just wanted to mention the Maine Photography Show once more as this is the last weekend of the exhibit. It truly is a delight with 100 photographs that have been selected/juried in out of almost 500 entries.
In addition, the setting is absolutely lovely as it%26#39;s being held in the original Boothbay Town Hall from the1800%26#39;s. The building was moved to the Railway Village years ago in order to preserve it.
Lots of interesting photos of Maine, foreign places, and people make it a diverse show and one in which everyone would enjoy!
This is also the weekend of the Fisherman%26#39;s Festival in downtown Boothbay Harbor. Lobster crate and lobster boat races, dory baling contest, old fashioned tug-o-war, fish relay, live entertainment and food stands are all part of the festival. I just wanted to mention it as it%26#39;s something fun to do during what looks like a dreay weekend weatherwise!
