What a difference a week makes!

Gosh I hope that couple that was coming to Acadia in April chose this past weekend and not the weekend before. Literally a week ago it was ago was a cold, 40 mile p/h winds and deluge half frozen rain for 4 days straight. This weekend was 80 and gorgeous. Ever feel the need to complain about the weather in maine? .. wait it%26#39;ll change. (Unless it%26#39;s winter and it%26#39;s just dark till march.)

:) Welcome MUD %26amp; Summer, they%26#39;ve finally arrived!

indeed. As I posted last Saturday, even the Cadillac summit road is open now. It was an experience to drive up the totally clear road with snowbanks (from the plowing) on either side. Lots of snowbanks on the summit parking lot---people made snowmen.

The stretch of the Loop Road from near the Cadillac turn-off to Jordan Pond is still closed, last I heard. That stretch is shaded by Cadillac and Pemetic and is always the last to clear.

anything goin on up there this weekend...

Hey, there%26#39;s always something going on! More and more restaurants are opening, that%26#39;s for sure. There%26#39;s a new place in Town Hill that%26#39;s open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Unike that tan turtle, it%26#39;s run by someone who knows the area and had a successful restaurant in Bar Harbor. Check it out. The Town Hill Bistro, used to be Blue Sage Bistro.

Looks like rain tomorrow. I need to go check out if the Loop Road is open from Cadillac to Jordan Pond.
