Red Sky (southwest harbor)

Do they serve lunch? Their website has been closed.

Also, o.k. place for kids?

Red Sky (southwest harbor)

I had no trouble getting into %26lt;redskyrestaurant.com%26gt;

No, they do not serve lunch. As for children, I have seen them there, but not toddlers, those who need booster seats, etc. It %26lt;is%26gt; a restaurant geared to adults, so there is not a separate children%26#39;s menu--- but some ';adjustments'; I%26#39;m sure, are possible.

I googled them and got a different link. Thanks for this one, although lunch was when it would have worked for me....bummer.

Any suggestions for a lunch spot on Southwest harbor?

glad geddes is up and running:) My daughter%26#39;s favorite!

It%26#39;s funny..we%26#39;ve been 3 times to BH/Acadia now, but this time we are going to be seeing/doing so much more thanks to everyone%26#39;s help!! i%26#39;m so happy I stumbled on this whole forum!!!

It is about as different from Red Sky (a more ';upscale';, sit down restaurant) as can be but there is a place in Southwest Harbor called Eat-a-Pita that I really enjoy. I reviewed them in my breakfast thread but they have very interesting lunch selections as well. On a nice day, it is wonderful to sit and eat outside there. Service can be a bit on the slow side. But the sandwiches, etc. are excellent. One of the other regulars here recommended the lobster reuben which I have not tried but will this year.

Hello. For lunch I would recommend Sips, Little Notch, Sawyers to go, the Seafood Ketch, Mainely Delights or Thurston%26#39;s in Bernard. Sorry pafly but after my extended multigenerational family waited forever at Eat-a-Pita, we humbly returned home to Bass Harbor and cooked our own breakfast. Sounds like your service was better - good for you.

bassharborbaby,

I did say service at Eat-a-Pita can be a bit on the slow side!

First off, we generally visit in September when things are a bit slower all around. Our first time at Eat-a-Pita (two years ago), we stopped for lunch before heading over to hike the Great (Long) Pond Trail. Service was slooow but the food was excellent. Last year we stopped for breakfast. We are early risers and got there just as they opened (and this after leaving our hotel in Bar Harbor and visiting Bass Harbor Light). Service was fine. Breakfast was great. And they packed a wonderful lunch for us for our hike up The Perpendicular Trail. Overall, I can%26#39;t complain.

But that said, I wouldn%26#39;t plan a stop at Eat-a-Pita if I was under a tight timeline.
