New restaurant---Town Hill Bistro

The Town Hill Bistro opened last weekend. We ate there last evening. Very good food (I had duck leg confit followed by roasted cod in a broth with very large toasted couscous).

The place was ';slammed'; last night---all of the tables were full and people were eating at the bar. Nevertheless, the service was efficient and attentive.

The Bistro is located in Town Hill, on Rtes. 102 %26amp; 198, about halfway between Somesville and the Trenton Bridge, at the junction with Crooked Road.

Right now, it is open for dinner Friday and Saturday evenings and for brunch on Saturday and Sunday. During the season, it will be open Wednesday through Sunday.

No web page as yet; phone 207 288-1011.

Is that where Mother%26#39;s is (or used to be?)

New restaurant---Town Hill Bistro

That, I%26#39;m not sure about. For the last couple of years it was run as the Blue Sage Bistro, by the same person who operates Cafe Bluefish in Bar Harbor. Before that, it was something else (and could well have been Mothers).

Mother%26#39;s Kitchen is the place I am assuming you are referring to when you talk about ';mother%26#39;s';...this is not the same place. Mother%26#39;s Kitchen is right next to Salsbury%26#39;s (on the corner) which is by the way super great for picnic lunches!!!
