So how are lobster futures looking? I thinking of some late September calls. Think the prices will be up or down? Will supply be able to keep up with demand? I need to know will there be lobster crepes at Maggie%26#39;s? Will I be able to afford them? Should I become vegetarian and eat tofu at Eden? I need to know!

Please, please calm down Pennsylvania Fly Fisherman. Fear not about lobster prices. There are more serious issues facing you.
Can you make it to Kathadin in a day trip? Will the unpaved roads kick dirt and gravel on your car? Is it worth hiking in Baxter State Park? Or would that just be more of the same? Can you see the mountain from a turn in the road on the way to Eastport and thus skip the whole hike thing? Are there really moose in Maine? What about puffins? Where can you get a good picture of a puffin?
By the way, how many years does it take for a deer to grow into a moose? And how come sometimes the ocean coves look there has been a long drought in the area?
And what will the price of gasoline in Maine be in September????
Lobster Futures
Touche%26#39;!!!!!!!!!!!
Good point about the gasoline. Where exactly can I get the cheapest gasoline on the island? And can you give me a GPS position for that station? And will they check the oil and clean my windows? I won%26#39;t have to pay extra for that, will I?
And one last question. Can you tell me the GPS position for the heart chakra of Mount Desert Island? I need to know exactly where to stand in order to experience it.
Thank you.

I thought I would give this a bump because I%26#39;m not sure all the questions were answered, although I think all the answers were questioned.
Pray for a gas war in September, pa fly fisherman. According to today%26#39;s local paper, we seem to be having a margarita pitcher war here in Bar Harbor. The newly reopened Miguel%26#39;s Mexican restaurant is offering half price margarita pitchers on Sundays. Pancho Villa%26#39;s, ';under new management';, has countered with its own half price margarita pitchers AND half price draft beer!
Let the party begin!
Fill up before you get to the island. On Wilson St in Brewer if you%26#39;re going via Bangor. Get off Exit 5 of 395, take a right on Wilson and about 1/2 mile down s a station on the right with a car wash that has a full service island. I think it%26#39;s a Mobil or maybe Exxon? Some red, white and blue brand.
If you are not going the Bangor route, Topsham is usually a good bet for lower than average prices.
I%26#39;m taking you at your word on the Acadia Hotel. Just made reservations for my Mom%26#39;s visit later this month. Not to put the pressure on you but...
I narrowed it down to Bar Harbor Motel%26#39;s two-bedroom family suite where we could each have our own room (and TV) but the thought of being right on the square and walking everywhere won me over.
OK - I really needed a good laugh, tonight. The margarita war just did it for me :)
Yeh, bonniemaev, can you organize a taste testing at both places before the middle of next week and get back with a report? My mom and I coud polish off a pitcher and then stumble back to our rooms, but we definitely want the best tasting margaritas.
