We would like to go to Bar Harbor for 2 or 3 nights this summer.
Is July better than August?
Is midweek better than weekend?
Is it necessary to have air conditioning?
We would like a charming place to stay. If AC is needed, we would want that. If there is a pool, it would be a plus.
We welcome all suggestions!
Thanks

Hello,
There is a plethora of information on Bar Harbor within this forum. You%26#39;ll have to do some scrolling, but many of your questions have already been answered. Quickly though:
July and August are both very busy in Bar Harbor. If you can wait, September is really ideal.
Midweek is definitely better than the weekend. But in July and August, with so many people on vacation for the week, it doesn%26#39;t really make that big a difference.
A/C isn%26#39;t a must, but it can (sometimes) get warm during the day. Things typically cool off at night. (Bring some fleece.)
There are many, many B%26amp;Bs in Bar Harbor--and all over the island, for that matter. We have little kids, so we like to stay in town at the Harborside Hotel %26amp; Marina. Right on the water, walking distance to restaurants, awesome pool. Bar Harbor Inn is also very nice. It really depends on what you%26#39;re looking for--and what you%26#39;re willing to spend.
Enjoy your trip!

Mainescape pretty much summarized things.
In addition to the Harborside, the Bar Harbor Inn also has a pool, is near the water, and near the village center.
