Driving down from Quebec.....

I%26#39;ll be driving down to Belfast from Quebec City on October 4th. Which route would be best -- Route 201 down to Waterville or Route 6/15 from Jackman to Guildford and then 23 and 7? What kind of roads and sights would I encounter? Comfort stops along the way are also a concern. Thanks for your help.

Personally I%26#39;m a Rt 15 gal. But, it is local/ rural roads and not always in the best shape. It%26#39;s been sometime since I%26#39;ve done it though. 201 is probly about the same as far a population, but the roads will be in better shape. Not sure of drive time on either though. maybe the bump will help.

I prefer Route 201. Thompson%26#39;s Restaurant in Bingham is right there on Route 201 and is a great diner with homemade food.

Rt201 would be a straight shot on better roads and would be about an hour quicker. The northern part of 201 is a really scenic drive. However, a trip over to Rockwood and down the western shore of Moosehead is really nice as well. You will not be dissapointed either way. Rockwood and Greenville are both great towns for a stop.

Thanks for your replies. I appreciate the information!
