Bar Harbor the first week of October

Do things start to die down as far as e crowds and are most of the shops and dining establishments still running strong?

We are planning a trip the first week of Ocber. Also at will the weather most likely be like at that time?

Bar Harbor the first week of October

Everything will still be open during the first week of October. Fall foliage is nearing its peak at that time of year. The crowds won%26#39;t be as they are in July and August but there will be a fair number of people here to see the leaves change colors. The days are usually in the mid to high 60s with the nights fairly chilly. We generally don%26#39;t get much rain at that time of year.

As already noted, things are still in full swing here (minus the July-August crowds) at that time. Columbus Day weekend has become a busy weekend here because of autumn foliage---it also usually if not always coincides with the Thanksgiving holiday in Canada. Generally, things don%26#39;t start shutting down until closer to November.

Information regarding Acadia National Park, lodging, activities, etc., is at:

You will be coming at (in my opinion) one of the better times of the year.

Thanks for the quick and helpful responses, we are looking forward as this will be our first visit
