Before folks start asking where they can find cheap lobster dinners or lobster rolls, they would do well to check current events. Hopefully by the time summer arrives the conditions will have improved and the stock of lobsters replenished, but right now anyone coming up to Maine hoping to find a $15 lobster dinner will be sorely disappointed. Cheap Lobster?
FYI, Michele is right. The Price of lobster is now $15.98 per lb. at the supermarket here in Farmington, Maine.
Cheap Lobster?
$10 a pound in Portland area, but that%26#39;s where it should be this time of year. An excellent point to put out there, Michele. It%26#39;s that time of year again for those questions, isn%26#39;t it?!
That $10 must be off the boat. In the Brunswick Hannaford tonite it was $15.99 for Chicken Lobsters, $19.99 for the big uns! Ouch. I bet that means my favorite treat (the lobster salad sandwich at Trenton Bridge) is going up in price.
Two 1-lb. lobsters with drawn butter and a choice of side (get the linguine with marinara) runs $23.95 at a local place here in South Portland. Just went up from $19.95 last week. We%26#39;re talking a real restaurant here, not a paper plate proprietary purveying prawn products. Sorry, this site forbids advertising, but they run newspaper ads all the time.
Here in Bar Harbor one of the least expensive places, which is not a pppppp (love it), is charging $24.95 for a lobster dinner.
WTM_NGH - people name restaurants that they enjoy all the time, I think its okay to give us the name of the place.
