Hi, I%26#39;ve been to Augustine%26#39;s several times and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Before going any further, I should tell you that Augustine has been my neighbor for the last two years and has become a friend of the family.

The menu has a lot of steaks, chops, pastas and some seafood, like planked salmon. I think the food is a cut above the norm. Dinner entrees are in the $20s, generally. I can%26#39;t comment on the desserts because I haven%26#39;t had room for a dessert yet.

There is a pleasant small bar area with plasma TVs. The dining room is large and tables well-spaced. Some evenings there is live music.

I live about 30 minutes from Damariscotta, so I don%26#39;t go there much for dinner. Haven%26#39;t been to Salt Bay Cafe or Cafe 74.
