I am looking for suggestions of a nice restaurant to have dinner in the Gouldsboro area. I would%26#39;nt mind a short drive. I just want it to be special. Thank you for your help, Jerry
Anniversary in Gouldsboro
Too late for Jernsal%26#39;s trip, but from Gouldsboro, Winter Harbor is a short and very scenic drive, so I suggest the Fisherman%26#39;s Inn for a nice dinner. It is a chef-owned restaurant across from the harbor. The food is terrific, moderate prices. Dress ranges from very casual to dressy, so you will be comfortable stopping by after a day at Schoodic Point, or for a special occasion.
I would have recommended Bunker%26#39;s Wharf in Birch Harbor, also on the Schoodic Peninsula, but as I write, word is that Bunker%26#39;s will not be opening this year (2007).
The former Mama%26#39;s Boy Bistro, also overlooking the harbor in Winter Harbor is being re-inivented by owner Roxanne Quimby and will operate as a cooking school this summer. I%26#39;m not whether the public will be able to dine at the culinary school during summer 2007...the name of it is Havre d%26#39;Hiver Ecole de Cuisine. Googling the name will provide more info.
