If rain, last minute Bar Harbor lodging for Friday?

Hi folks!

We have plans for camping Friday and B%26amp;B on Saturday in BH. To offset our cost of the weekend, we had hoped to pull off camping on Friday. Now its looking like much rain Friday night/early Sat. morning.

Given this change in weather, we are wondering if there is a particular place we could shoot for in terms of decent inexpensive lodging for Friday night that will be close enough to downtown to enjoy a dinner and some evening fun. We won%26#39;t need much as our Saturday night will be very nice. Are there any places to recommend that would get the job done for the evening? Really the key here will be to remain dry, happy, and have close access to the town now that we won%26#39;t be in the woods!

We%26#39;re coming up from Boston for a first time experience. Thanks for any help!

Jerry

We used to camp at Blackwoods and if we had a long stretch of bad weather we used to stay at either the Maine Street Motel or The Villager; both on Main Street. Neither one is fancy but they were always very, very clean and quite reasonable. There is also a new hotel in town...The Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. That%26#39;s also down at the end of Main Street. Not sure about their rates this time of year but they were reasonable in May.
