I sent an email today to Maine Made.... they post info about them on their website. Hopefully, they will get some ';scoop'; for us!!! I can%26#39;t believe they would simply disappear like that! Maybe we should try the BBB????

I have been in contact with susan from Eminger berries for the last 17months. She planned to make me wedding favors for my wedding that was June 2nd. I kept in close contact with her up to the wedding. # days before the wedding i went to make sure that everything was on schedule. The same note was on the door for 3 days that read. Closed for a chocolate party be back at 10. I tried the web page to discover it had been taken down. I tried to call but the machine was full so you couldnt leave a message. I tried the door for 3 days and finally got her husband less then 24 hours before my wedding. let me know if you want to know more i could give you an ear full

Wow! Please let us know.... What did the husband say (about the business)? Did you get your berries--- I am guessing not!!!

Susan was suppost to make me 150 berries for my wedding plus she was suppost to make me stuffed apples and pears for my bridesmaids. I have had her strawberries many times and they are great. When i finally got in contact with her husband he didnt know who i was. I told him that i was a customer and that susan was going to make my berries for my wedding and i was just checking in to make sure everything was ok. He told me that i wouldnt be getting my berries because susan was living at her mothers houre right now because she had become very sick ';with either liver failure or renal failure'; i cant recall because i was in such shock. he told me that i would not be getting my berries and that i needed to come up with another plan. I asked if there was any way to contact susan and he told me that she was on her death bed. He was very short with me at the time. I decided to put my bridesmaid into action to come up with another plan for my weddign as fast as i could. the day before my wedding i got a call from one of susans friend who told me she had talked to susan and that her husband didnt really know what he was talking about and that she had arranged for her assistant to do my berries and told me that susan wanted me to call her. When i called the number susans husband answered and told me that the berries had arrived and that he was going to leave them on the porch ';plain berries unstuffed'; and that if i wanted them i could come get them and to never call or go there ever again. I was really confused and decided to just go get the berries. When i got there her husband opened the door and passed me a piece of paper with susans assistants number. I called the number not knowing who i was calling and he was all confused. He informed me that he had planned to make the berries the whole time but didnt know why i had the berries. He decided to go to susans to find out what was going on. He called me back and told me that susans husband was in a very rare form, proberly from stress and that i was pretty much on my own. He told me that he could do my berries but that i would have to pay him like 475.00. I had already paid susan part of this payment at an earlier time so i didnt know why i should pay again. He told me that she was done with making berries and he would never get paid. I decided i couldnt pay that price again so he told me he would dip the berries for 100.00. It gets stranger. I had to bring the berries to him at emminger berries when her husband went to work that way he wouldnt do anything to my berries and that he would drop them off for me at another location. To get to the point he did a great job but instead of doing 150 favor boxes he only did half and i didnt find out until i arrived at my wedding reception. Needlessto say he hasnt called me for payment and i think this is the reason. Sorry if this is too long its acually my really short version of everything i was put through.

double wow. so, is Susan okay??? I hope that all this blows over. Her berries were the best!! It sounds like you had a pretty interesting experience. I wonder what the real story is. Keep us posted. Congrats on your wedding.
