Most places on the water are pricey, Whether Balance Rock is reatively more or less worth the money compared with other similar inns, I don%26#39;t know. The reviews under Bar Harbor Hotels might help you in this.

We did rent a house for two weeks but the first two nights we needed a place so we stay in Bangor the first night and Balance Rock the second and then we check in the house..

I didn%26#39;t stay at the Balance Rock, but we stumbled upon it and took a tour. I would stay there in a heartbeat! The rooms are beautiful, the view is incredible, and it seems very peaceful.

I stayed at the Balance Rock about a year ago, and the walls between my room and the next we so thin, that I could hear the man in the next room sneeze, along with other things (!). Hopefully this is not the same in all the rooms, but it is certainly worth asking about, or chosing a room that doesn%26#39;t share a wall with another.

Thanks for your responce. We are booked in room 308 with a fireplace I have to pay 50.00 to cancel they told me.. It is for one night I hope I dont hear the neighbors. What did you think of the place other then that worth the price?
